Hi Jackie, congratulations as you know ive also had my fair few litters so feel free to PM or Email me, u will need to identify the buck rabbit and seperate him from the doe and kits otherwise she will abondan them more than likely the same as you cant touch them for whilst they are in the nest as this usually leads to culling or abandonment, rabbits are very finicky with their babies
Anyway anything else just ask away
Best wishes

yer she should be ok, just keep her in a quiet environment, and bump up her feeding give her extra fruit and veg and try and add some vitamin drops to her water, extra bedding of course and basically just give her nothing except her babies to worry about
Best wishes

That happened to me too Jackie. I got a male rabbit - I wanted a female but they said it was definitely male but I got him anyhow. Anyway I bought a large fully grown french lop and he used to live in a kennel in a fenced off pen so that he could hop about where he wanted. He would panic if I put him in a cage so he had a kennel instead. One day I took the kids to school and my mum was here and when I came back she told me that Hercules - the french lop had let the male rabbit out of the cage. He used to scratch at the door and the catches that were holding the door shut used to move and then the door opened. I asked if they were fighting because they were both males. My mum said no they were just running round together. Anyway a few weeks later I went to the hutch and there was a lot of pink baby rabbits but unfortunately they were all dead, so thats how I found out my rabbit was a female afterall.

So looks like one of the 'sisters' will be going for the chop soon then

At least she only had two!! Must have been a shock for you though. We've got a buck and a doe but they've both been done....I couldn't cope with giving the babies away!
