Annie Lennox

Okay, I have always liked Annie Lennox, she has a very distinctive and excellent voice, as well as an individual look, if a little scary. Just heard a clip of one of her latest offerings on the BBC...it was a cover of 'Tidings of Comfort and Joy', it's part of a Christmas Album or something she is doing.

My goodness...as always, it's very different...and a wee bit scary! It is actually quite good, not what I expected but oh my..can't wait to go get a copy of her new album.

She's been on TV and radio promoting her new album, I didn't realise how religious she was until she started talking about what carols meant to her. Very interesting lady with a brilliant voice.

Not a big fan of carols, but you've gotta love Annie!

Yes I suspect I may get this one, I like both Carols and Annie Lennox, and having seen the whole of the video for God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (thank you Claireanddaisy for the link) I have decided it shall be a purchase this year

She certainly is an individual lady and not frightened to let you know her views. Wish I was that brave

She's a singer but always herself and entitled to her opinions.
Recently watched Ruud Gullit (footballer) who always campaigned against apartheid and for the release of Nelson Mandela.
Its just they have the opportunity to shove it down our necks

I think she has a unique voice but like more traditional arrangements of carols myself.

I have bought Jamie the new Aled Jones christmas CD as there is a carol on it that I looked everywhere for last year called "Mary did you know?" which is our favourite carol.
