Maverick, ASSD Training, Short Vid

Ive just started Mavs ASSD training.

He will need this for his "C" work,( hopefully he Will win his Bs this year & will need it!!!)

Basically You have to do the three positions within the Hw pattern in Normal pace, at the judges choice (ie it is different everytime)

As you can see his Sit is alot better than the others, this is because its the hardest to teach , so i taught it first, so this is "almost" the finished product whilst the others he still needs some help!!!

In the ring i will be giving one command (voice or body signal) he will do the postion & remain in that postion as i walk on turn around walk past him turn around & collect , i can only talk to him again on collection.

Anyway here it is, im very pleased how it is going,

Aww - thats coming on well.

Why do you find the sit hardest to teach? With Siren it has been Stand. She always wants to move one foot as I go past her

Its the position they miss most in the ring, i find & its the one they have to think about most i suppose.
My trainer said (AFTER i trained flynn!) always do the sit first! voila!!!

Yep - I guess thats true - it reminds me why I stopped doing Obedience

Having said that - I do find freestyle harder to train but its so much more relaxed that it doesn;t matter so much if you make mistakes.
