IMO it's totally different cutting of a short coated dogs whiskers to a long coated dogs!
Short coated dogs don't generally get their coats clipped like long coated dogs.
And to try and clip a long coated dog right down (like we do to Kingsley) without touching their whiskers would be hard!

Kingsleys whiskers grow back almost as fast as his coat anyway.

hello
are one dog willow is collie x spaniel she has very long wiskers like a cat lol no i would never consider cutting them i agree they are there for a reason .leave them be i say
