The latest foster...

Meet Amy my latest lost soul. She's a 15 year old (nearly 16) miniature dachshund cross who's owner sadly passed away

She's been very confused in the kennels and has been pacing a lot. Today we tried her in puppy panels and managed to get her to settle so instead of putting her back in her room this evening she's come home with me. She's currently in a crate to protect her from the youngsters and she has slept solidly since 5:30.

She can still go for a nice walk and gives those she knows a really lovely greeting. I just hope she finds a new home soon.

Here's the lovely girl -

In her puppy panels to stop her pacing -

And as always mine are completely non-plussed by the whole thing, they do me proud (photo's taken 10 minutes after their first meet) -

How could anyone resist that beautiful face. I would love to be able to give Amy a happy and comfortable home for the rest of her life if I could - and shower her with such love - I really would.

Her little face just tugs at my heartsrings...

Poor old lady she must wonder what as happened, it can't be easy to adapt to new surroundings at her age.

Jen did she have some of her own familiar things with her from home. Such a sad situation.

Aw bless her and I hope a forever loving home will be found for her. She will miss her owner and it is good that you have taken her, even for a short time, it will help take her mind off things.

Wee cuddles going to her.

Your other dogs are lovely.

Thanks for sharing

Aw bless her and you for taking her home. That poor little dog must be so confused wondering where her mum/dad is I do hope that she can find a forever home to see her through. Your dogs are fantastic the way they just accept any dog that you bring home ... love them.
