Sardines

Dillon had his first fresh raw sardine today. Well 2 a large one and a smaller one. He was a bit cautious at first but soon got the hang of them.
I did have to hold them at the beginning until he got his teeth into them so a bit gorey.

Bargain 6 good sized ones for £1.64 courtesy of Tesco. So we have 4 in the freezer for a later date.

Mine have a tendency to bring the fish back up again, especially fresh stuff. They did it on the carpet in the cottage we rented last year on holiday and the place stunk even though we cleaned up!

I slice the fish up now and it goes down much better as they dont seem to like the texture of fresh fish, so they eat it begrudgingly and then regurgitate it later!

So far so good no regurgitation. I am hoping he is not going to suffer an explosive rear end later.

Me too normally. Wondered what he would make of them Ollie would not entertain the fresh ones but loved the tinned ones. Dillon loves both good thing as I have another 4 in the freezer. No bad effects either end as of yet.

Ranger adores fresh fish, but only gets it if I get a whoopsie from Asda . He's never had any probs with bringing it back up.
