I work as a PT and get this question all the time. My answer is, a balanced diet with regular exercise! It's a clichè but it works.

I also think people should stop dividing their food into different group and focus more on what's healthy and natural to eat. Not "have 20g of carbs, and then the size of the meat must not be bigger than your hand" etc.
Do changes to your diet you can live with, and swap unhealthy options for healthier versions you can live with.

Very helpful, and very true.

If your mouth is shut, you cannot be shovelling food into it can you?

It is just as helpful and supportive as saying eat less, exercise more.

I find simplicity is generally the answer to most things.

I decided a long time ago that if I were over weight, my dogs weren't being walked enough. It worked.

I have hashimotos disease with an under active thyroid, its difficult but not impossible! If I'm feeling a little heavy I try to eat only raw foods before 3pm.

Also stay hydrated. Sometimes when you get that "I just want something" feeling its your body telling you you're not drinking enough. So feel the urge to snack? have a glass of water instead!

Not trying to wriggle out of anything for one thing, and it is certainly not "typical" of me either.

But perhaps you could post some other examples of this alleged behaviour?

I really wonder what the motive is behind such unwarranted personal attacks?
