European Health Insurance Card - Ehic

Not sure if this has been mentioned on here before but as I have just renewed my European Health Insurance Card I thought I would post the link to

a) remind people to get one if they are planning to go abroad
b) that some travel insurers now INSIST you have one (and may waive the excess if you do)
c) to ensure if you have one, it is still valid and
d) IT IS FREE from this official site!

It takes about 10 days to receive one, so don't leave it until the last minute.

I applied for a renewal on the day I posted this (it was going to expire in September) and I received my new card sometime this week (I was away) so the turnaround was as advertised.
