Wedding menu.

It's been put off another year, due to the OH's job and I want a Summer/Autumn Wedding. Anyway the place I am hoping to get booked has several packages.

Anyway I can't choose between the Carvery Package or BBQ..
Being a fussy eater and having other family members on both sides that are fussy eaters I want to make sure everyone gets something (Yes C&D I can hear you already, I know it's my day )

Carvery is what most people do and I want to be a little different but BBQ doesn't scream wedding. However where I am planning on having it, I can't see it being the BBQ your Dad does but a little fancier. If that makes sense.

Oooo I think carver is a safer option but BBQ is very unique at a wedding!
I think if it was me id go for BBQ because its something different that most other weddings wouldn't have
There will be something for everyone Im sure x

Does it give you an idea of menus for the two options? Do you have vegetarians to cater for? I agree that BBQ is more original and that's what I'd pick, but then again I'm biased because a carvery/roast dinner is my least favourite type of meal. Unless it's a spit roast hog/cow. Mmmmmm hog roast...

BBQ says outdoor to me which is great unless it rains. What contingency is there on the BBQ option for bad weather?

They do have veggie options. But there's only one veggie invited I think .. It's got several packages but these are the only two I like. And it is my wedding so you know, I only need to pick between the two.

See thats why I'm leaning towards the Carvery - however I haven't asked them about that, so thats another question for them

The best wedding I`ve ever been to was when they hired the local hall and everyone brought home-made stuff. It was brilliant!

A barbie sounds fabulous, but as mentioned it would only really work if the weather was as brilliant as it is now. Carveries are a bit naff IMO unless the quality is exceptional (which hasn't been my experience!).

What month is your wedding? September is usually a winner weather wise.

We haven't really talked about it, we just know it'll be more 2014 than 2013..

You pushed the boat out then?

What about a Hog Roast instead of a straight forward BBQ. Its a bit different and very showy?
