Thanks for sharing this Dawn. It's all too easy to hear the horror stories and assume that's all there is to greyhound racing. Of course there are owners, like your friend, who see more in their dogs than a status symbol or a source of cash.

Wishing the dog a swift recovery and many happy years of lying around doing b****r-all!

I have huge amount of respect for working greyhounds and thier good owners, sad about his injuries, so glad he ok thou, sounds like a wonderful racer as well as a wondeful dog!
