Mack - Labrador x

Mack is an 18 month to 2 year old Labrador cross and is currently on foster in Caerphilly, South Wales.

The Mack Fact File

Dog status: Very good
Cat status: Unknown at present
Child status: Good, could be rehomed with children aged 7 years plus
House training: Very good
Home alone: Fine to be left for short periods. Is currently better if left with another dog but can be left completely alone.
Basic training: Knows sit and down and has excellent recall

Mack is one of those rare dogs who is active and fun out on his walks but has a definite off switch when he is back home and is happiest when he has a comfy spot to snooze the day away. He loves his walks and will be looking for an active new family to explore the world with. Equally once he has had his exercise he is calm at home and no trouble.....perfect!

He is good with other dogs and could be rehomed with existing dogs or on his own. He is currently living with another dog who he is polite with and he loves to play a new pal who is a beagle. Mack has not been in close contact with cats during his time with his foster home.

Mack has not been in foster care with children, however he has been very polite and good with children he has met out and about. As he came to us from the pound and we do not know if he is used to the hustle and bustle that life with very young children bring we would be looking for a home with children no younger than 7 years.

Mack is house trained and can be left for a few hours at a time He has been left both with his foster family's other dog and completely on his own.

He is very good in the car and will settle down for a sleep once he realises he is in for a longer journey. He has lovely manners on exit and does not just bomb off, he waits nicely to be asked to jump down. Mack has some basic training already such as sit and down and he has wonderful recall. His heelwork needs some work which has begun already with his foster family and he is showing improvement.

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK.
