I think most vets do, mine does any time just drop in and weigh them, I have heard some than have a weigh-in clinic every week. I have yet to hear of a vet who does not offer this.

Can you feel her ribs??

You should be able to run your hands down each side and feel her ribs but with a covering of fat.. If you cant feel her ribs without really digging for them.. then yes she is

As Louise13 says you should be able to easily feel her ribs with a light covering of fat, but you should not have to really push to feel them. She should also have a nice waist on her, that is, she should curve inwards just before her hindquarters.

Your vets should offer a free weight check. Some vets will be happy for you just to walk in, whereas others may require you to make an appointment with a nurse. Give your vets a call and see which service they offer.

It's best to go by body condition and visual appearance rather than what the scales say as a guide to a healthy weight. Just as with people what's a healthy weight for one dog may not be so healthy for another, even within the same breed of dog.
