Isla and Woody. (English Springer Spaniel and Labrador)

Thought I'd post some rare pics of them together. For some strange reason Woody isn't keen on Isla, the last thing we thought would be a problem. Not sure why, perhaps jealousy? Weird as we've had pups visit the house over the years and he's been fine. Harvey climbs all over him and beats him up and he doesn't bat an eye lid. Isla sniffs him and he grumbles and bares his teeth?

Anyway here are some pics just to show sometimes he does like her.

She just loves him and doesn't seem phased by his miserable demeanor.

And don't worry they were closely supervised when she was in his basket and it's not something we encourage.

Sounds like he's just "putting her in her place" so to speak.

It's different with pups who are just visitors as he won't see them as part of *his* pack, but now Isla is part of the family, he's just keeping her in check I reckon

Do you think he would ever hurt her then? Thing is we've come to expect it with Pickles and know with him he's just grumpy and doesn't get pups! He'd never hurt her, he just hates her guts!

With never having seen Woody do this I think we're worried he would bite her so to speak? He's done no more than grumble and bare his teeth so far though. Not that it bothers her in the slightest, she thinks he's the bees knees!

awwwww, how could he stay grumpy with her for long, she obviously loves him.

Aww, lovely photos Makes Isla look really tiny! I'm sure if he lets her snuggle with him like that he can't be too bothered about her. I hope they get on better in time
