If these people want to demonstrate well thats up to them ,but I think its prob backfired on them because more people would want to watch it to see what all the fuss is about

Bellaluna, The BBC broadcast an opera/musical last night that was a take on Jerry Springers american chat show. There has been controversy over it because it was offensive and derogatory to certain groups in society. Appartently it contained more than 8000 swear words, featured trailer-trash, nappy wearing husbands, transexuals, tap-dancing Ku klux Klansman, plus showed Jesus wearing a sequinned nappy (I didn't see that bit so can't say for sure) - so alot of Christian groups weren't happy about it. It was meant to be very tongue in cheek.

Your probably right PJD, that's the reason I watched it I turned it off though after the first few minutes as it was all a bit too ridiculous.

I love opera and this was not opera. I watched about 30 mins thinking it has to get better but it didn't. I laughed alot but it was because it was so bad.
