Ask 3 people and you'll get 4 difference answers! Some people feel that puppy food is absolutely necessary, some will only feed it for a few months, some feel it's not good at all as it encourages fast growth but slower, longer periods of growth are healthier in the longterm, etc.
How old is Ace?

If I am not mistaken there are certain food that is applicable for puppy and adult. What does your vet says for this? If they allow it then it is better.

Can you not get in contact with the site you ordered it from and switch to puppy?

Have tried emailing them but haven't responded yet. Plus I will have to pay for it to be returned.

Personally I would feed it, but if you don't feel happy doing so ask to return it - or sell it to someone who uses F4D and buy puppy.

Think I am going to feed it, not like he's gonna die or have a leg drop off

Exactly. Our collie pups are always fed adult food.
