Tender front dew claw

If Kobi has time to think about it he is licking his front right leg around the dew claw area.
Just had a weekend of dog agility and today had an hour and a half walk with fields woods and water involved so it is not stopping his movement in any way.
looks a little pink between the claw and leg.
Would a leg wrap help or is it best left open for him to lick.
No chewing or raw skin involved.
Any creams I could apply or again is it best left clean.

I would leave it open so that the air can get at it, but I would bathe it with some warm salt water. If there is no obvious wound, he may have just caught/pulled the dew claw.
I hope Kobi is fine very soon.
