Oh no, how horrible for you. I hope Sneaks is ok. We had exactly the same with Gracie last Saturday. Not as severe a wound but still scary. Done it running around the woods but no idea how. How he's home with you real soon.

Hope he heals up quickly. Horrible for you - I would try to remember where roughly it was and have a little look around if you intend going back there (or even if you don't for the sake of other dogs?) Sounds as if there might be quite a bit of blood at the spot where it happened.

I've just had the call from the vet. He was stable throughout the anaesthetic and is recovering now. He lost a lot of blood and they had to repair his tendon but he's OK. I'm collecting him at 4pm; can't wait to have him home.

Poor Sneaks, and poor you - what a horrible shock.

Great news he is on the mend and can come home today

I agree with Tangutica - I would go back to the area where it happened and see if you can find what he injured himself on.
