Myra,just so you know you're not alone Mine prefers to go under the mattress and sleep sitting up afraid of missing something,I think!!

Thanks for the funny comments, everyone. Lacey - gosh that gave me a nice giggle!

He only has a flat mattress like the other black dog (covered in a sheet, that he also messed all up). I imagine if he has some fancy kind of dog bed... I'd have even funnier photos to take!

Mattress and a sheet is perfect for him,he gets to stretch out anyway he likes,imagine he's very comfortable.
Lacey has a baby cot quilt( had it for youngest) lying in the hall,given the choice she'll chose that every time
