Hmmm that seems to be telling me something about them

But well done to you for looking after Susie so well.

We have a Newfie which are said to be similar to Leo's she is 9 now and I would so happy if she made 13 that really is a good age for a very large breed.

So sorry to read this, but at least your vet did come out (and quite along way too!)

When our beloved Baruska died last June my wife phoned the vet and he said all his staff were on holiday and he couldn't leave the surgery. That's the sort of response you get from people who were brought up under communism. They have been given the elbow in Czechland now but sadly the 'attitude' lingers on especially in the over 30's age group.

I'll leave my previous post as is, you still did well to get her to 13, once again you must be still in shock but hopefully the vet saved her from pain in the last moments.

So sorry to hear that you have lost Susie - you must be devastated. Remember, though, that you gave her a long and happy life and in time the happy and funny memories will help heal your loss.
Run free Susie xx

I'm so sorry to hear this. But I think you should take heart in managing to raise and keep what sounds like the longest living Leon ever - a credit to you that she had so many happy years.

Oh I'm so sorry to read you have lost your dear sweet girl.

What a wonderful life she must have had with you and what a fantastic age to get her to.

My Leo boy will be 8 this year. He is still in fantastic health and temperament. He has a cataract in one eye and has slowed down a little, thankfully as he was a handful when he was younger lol but he is the most wonderful dog and a true gentleman.

I am so thankful for having such a special dog in my life and I will be so so grateful to have him to such a great age.

Run free Suzie xxx
