So happy for them, Eileen. The furniture will give them an excellent start, and give them happy memories.
Girls have been out, looks like rain, but not actually happened,so everyone had a good charge round and playfight.
Cariad and Lona had a slightly more sedate walk in a beautiful spot going up into the woods, we didn't actually go in the woods as its one heck of a climb uphill and not sure about what Cariad is capable of and don't want to overdo it. She is out of t shirts now and wanting to associate with the others and playing it by ear as much as I can.
Not sure if I have done something stupid or what. Ordered a tray of beef and tripe for the people at the new shop. Today the shop is closed, no answer when I knocked on the side door leading up to the flat. Have wrapped the box in a bin liner and leaned it against the door. I spoke to her yesterday and she never mentioned they wouldn't be there. In the scheme of things its not a vast amount of money, but am not very comfortable with the situation. I have no more room in the freezers so I can't do anything with it.

Yay that is good news Eileen everyone will now have a space of their own. As for wanting the furniture from your mum's house no way let Sarah have what she want and needs and anyone else in the family.

Pleased Cariad has enjoyed her walks June. Hopefully they just forgot you were taking the meat round

Lovely afternoon here and so warm - no need for a jacket when walking Teazle. Have planted peas, cucumbers, tomatoes and sprouts in pots and seed trays in the greenhouse and tidied two flower beds so more of the same tomorrow.

OO heck, not really a lot you can do is there TW, if you have no room to store it then you have done all you can, hopefully they will be home soon and can chuck it in the freezer. I am pleased Cariad feels up to socialising with her little gang Lol

Glad the girls had a nice stroll June and hope you get the money for the food.
Sue hope it was a good time in the greenhouse.
Eileen can fully understand you not wanting the furniture to go to a stranger and it will give Sarah a good start as you say.
We let a lot of mums go with the house but we upped the price to full asking price well the agent did. We had all been married for 30+ years so we didn't actually need it.
What the buyers didn't want went to a charity shop and there was a lot of it after we had all taken our momentos.

Gorden got in about 12.30 and after he had a coffee and said hello to a very excited Dillon we popped out for a coffee and some shopping.
Been a beautiful day and we have just come in from sitting in the garden drinking wine and talking about future plans and my usual rant about how much I hate this house and why on earth did I not say I wanted to pull out.
Maybe when we have eventually moved the reason will slap me in the face.

Sue is enjoying herself tinkering in the greenhouse planting seeds as it is nice and sunny today.

I was going to a camera shop to look at a new camera bag but they won't have them in stock until next tuesday so will have to wait
Excellent capture if I may say so.
I have a water pic from this afternoon.

Our dog, Max, recently groomed and looking sharp, is fascinated by the river.

Regrettably, he fell in a little later......

I know griff but sometimes I do just wish I had told everyone they had to wait a while longer.
I am sure in the scheme of things there is a reason yet to see it but at some point I am sure it will show itself. Maybe in the fact i cannot hate any house as much as here.
Still good times ahead it is official the wheels are in motion for Gorden to semi retire mid to end of July.
Also some good news re: his teachers pension if he holds off drawing on it till his official retirement date in 6 years time.
Any news from your friend ?

Thank you kindly. He was trotting along the top of narrow wall by that weir. Difficult to get out because of the steep walls there. He followed me as walked down the bank to an easy place to get out. He did so, shook himself, and strolled on nonchalantly like what's the big deal...........
