Mish: the thought crossed our minds ... until we met Hal!!

She was quite a character, nobody's fool, but one thing she did - according to her arch enemy - was breed dogs with good hips, and Hal was no exception.

Absolutely not Rune, you use OUR collar, or none at all. How do I know that you haven't rigged YOUR collar up to electrocute me!!

The deal is our collar - which of course you can test on yourself to make sure it is working, if you don't trust me - or not at all.
Its a funny thing trust, isn't it.
See how easily it can be lost.

No way am I using it on myself---it hurts!

Why would I trust you? Your dog did and look where it got him!

BTW---the place you are staying is 92.8 miles from us! Care to pay our petrol costs? Or maybe come slightly closer?

Rune: do try to keep up!

Ben said:

"Gnasher - as I explained - a static shock would be much greater if it had to build up and pass tru think fur, the electrodes in contact with bare skin make it hurt LESS not more"

My OH says she is talking absolute tosh - see my posting, I really cannot be bothered to repeat myself.

Rune: it does not, don't be such a wuss.

No, I won't pay your petrol costs - you want to zap me with an electric collar, you can pay your own costs!

Going to watch the Mentalist now

lol, well gnasher if the collar has to be in contact with the dogs skin then it is a FLOW of electricity and NOT static. and in that case then his thick double coat does nothing to make it LESS of a shock.
Did your husband also yet explain why he fed you the load of tosh about fluffy voltage and killing current?

Luthien: I say I know fa about electricity, static, flow or otherwise. Thus I make it quite clear when it is his words, not mine, because I am ignorant where such things are concerned.
