So basically, would you own a wolf as a pet and why? Or why not? And do you think that having a pet dog is the same as taming a wild wolf from a cub.

The answer to the first question is no, a wolf is a wild animal & should be living in a natural habitat. The wolves today are not the same as those that evolved into dogs thousands of years ago. They have natural behaviours that are bred into them that makes them very unsuitable as pet dogs.

Taming even a feral puppy dog is not the same as having a pet dog, even if the puppy or cub is in human company from an early age. Wolf cubs mature much faster than domestic dogs & as the Wolf is naturally quite a "shy"animal(they rarely set out to fight/attack other wolves/predators)as this is a waste of energy which could be used hunting for food.

I say no as it is still a wild animal. Dingoes here you need a licence for them, I have worked with a few Dingoes they are not the same as a domesticated dog. I wonder if all dogs had never be domesticated who we all still answered the same, by the way I want an elephant

As someone else mentioned, having a wild animal as a "pet" is a childish fantasy. I did it too - and wanted a wolf or a fox when I was a child - although I wasn't allowed a dog, so having my own GSD was my biggest and most long-lived fantasy

Wolves are wild creatures and should not, ever be kept as pets imo. I don't agree with keeping any wild animal or bird as a pet!
