Getting into debt for xmas

Now i know we all spend money we may mot have but a friend of mine has got got out a £3000 loan to cover xmas .......... personally I think she is off her head !!!!!..we buy what we can afford and the kids don't get heaps but do ok ....do you borrow to cover xmas or make do like us ????

Nope, we make do with what we have, we don't have any credit cards either.....way too tempting! OH gets a bonus in with his wages in October, so that covers most of it so what we can't get with that, we go without!

I dont belive in getting into debt for anything, we are fortunate to own our house, i wouldnt even take out a loan on it last year when OH wanted to do some improvements on it, i would rather save for anything i needed, but thats just me all over, a miser
