How to you give your doglets wormer?

Just wondering how you give your doggies there wormer? I wormed my two last night, no problem for Willow's as the tablet was so tiny, but Flower's I tend to chop it into quaters and mix it in with her food.

Does it make a difference if the tablet is in bits?

Just a quick question! xx

I've tried all sorts- mixing with wet food, creamcheese, hiding in doggie hot-dogs; my JR always manages to pick the bits of tablet out. The ONLY thing that works 100% of the time is: get some chicken breast- a thickish chunk, simmer gently in water for a minute- remove from water. Whilst still warm-Make a cut half way through so its like an envelope- tuck the tablet inside, present to dog. Goes straight down without touching the sides I don't believe that any dog wouldn't gollop a bit of warm chicken

Totally agree & I have also found that wrapping it in cheese is also pretty foolproof. Dolly has to have a daily tablet + half each morning, so I use the low fat cheese slices torn into strips & wrapped around the tablets, she doesn't even know she had them they go down so fast & the other strips left are her treat. The tablet will be broken down in the gastric juices.

There's no harm in wrapping it in food.

I just give it to mine, they just wolf it down like it's a rare treat

Wrapped in cream cheese works in our house - he starts drooling the minute I get it out of the fridge

With my two I just wait until I am preparing dinner, then turn round and chuck them to them.

They are so scared the other one may get the piece of cucumber (which is what they are usually waiting for) that they wolf them down in one.

No problems!
