Where I work at the hospital, I work with quite a few students, who think nothing of spending £90 - their weeks wages on ONE night out!!

£90 will buy Kev's and mine's and Teagans food for a month!!

Wow, enjoyable thread, thanks for all your reply's. I have to confess I had a glass of red wine this weekend, but didn't really enjoy it, plus my oh said my personality changed!!! Just cant seem to stomache it anymore.

Years ago I was a provisions buyer, and my manager a wines and spirits buyer, we used to be trying wines out everyday... at work!!! That was when German White Wine was predominately drunk in this country. Now we have wines from all over the world.

When I first left school I worked at the Crown Prosecution Service and used to socialise a lot with police officers. We'd always be out on a Friday night drinking. I remember once when I was 18 we'd been to a police officers promotion party, I got bladdered. I remember getting out of the taxi at the top of my road at 12.25am, put my handbag on our front wall to get my keys out, fell off the step, landed on the garden and must have fallen asleep, next thing I know my dad is waking me up and it's 3.55am. It made me think twice because anything could have happened to me laying out on the front garden.

Since then I hardly drink at all, I can go months without so much as a glass of wine. Hardly drank anything at my wedding reception.
