Medical dog boot

Can anyone recommend a brand of medical dog boot? As per my other thread, Cain has a damaged paw pad. Last night he managed to get all his bandaging and the sock off and given it a good lick by morning, however despite a small red patch, it mostly looks healthy and healing. I got sick of it falling off so we left the bandages off and just watched him as he wasn't licking it too much. However I'm aware that paw injuries can take ages to heal so I want to keep it protected when out on walks. I'm struggling to get the sock and plastic bag to stay on his foot on walks. Yesterdayit all fell off and I had to wash and re-dress his foot when we got home - not ideal. I think a proper dog boot would be the way to go until I am happy his paw is properly healed. Will be used on all walks and possibly when left home alone (if boot is suitable).

I'd like a boot that is easy for ME to get on and off i.e. a zip or velco rather than laces (the Mikki boot is laces and looks a pain). Equally I'd like a boot that is NOT easy for Cain to get on and off....! I'd rather just buy one/a pair of boots, but will buy 4 if I have too.

Any recomendations?

ALso is the Comfy Cone any good? Won't stop him chewing his paw but thought it might be a handy thing to have in the house as he injures himself a lot and is a chewer, and hates the regular Buster Collar (he shattrered the plastic one!)

Thera Paw dog boots are probably the best ones I've tried. They're about £14 per boot depending on size.

Hello,
Ruff wear, or neopaws, are also good.

Thanks both

I had seen the Neopaws and liked them but couldn't find anywhere in the UK that was in stock - and as his paw is sore I couldn't wait for them to come from the US. Ruffwear are gorgeous but too pricey for me!

The Thera-paw look good but as they only covered the foot I though Cain might kick them off easily.

In the end I did manage to track down a pair of Neopaws so I've ordered them. http://www.cheshiredogslifeshop.co.u...r-boots---dogs He has a nice snazzy red pair coming. Hope they get here quickly, it'll make my life a lot easier
