i dont think she should be using 1 until she is fully grown, so i would not let her use it yet.

but you can set something up that she can rag and as soon as she stops growning then let her use the spring pole

Geez Jenny you sure ask a power of questions lol.

Seriously though your dog is FAR too young to be doing anything like this. By a rag I am presuming Natalie just means playing some light tug with a rag with her to build up her jaw and get her interested (usually bull breeds dont need much encouragment in that dept). I wouldnt start her until she is fully grown somewhere between 12 and 18 months, I like to wait until the dog is 18 months before working them properly.

Okay Springpole (for when the dog is old enough). I have used several various methods in the past. One that is real good is to get a second hand childs swing, take the swing out and use the frame to hang some bungee cord, attach something to the end of the cord i.e. hide or a rag and hey presto there you have it, always make sure the dogs feet can touch the ground though as if it has to hang from it the dog could get a back injury etc on letting go (never heard of this happen but its always advisable just incase).

Alternativley, if you have a tree in the garden try using some rope, bungee cord and the hide on the bottom as before ensuring that the dogs feet can touch the ground. Basically as long as it "springs" you are okay, I would never just use rope with soemthing attached the spring is quite important.

Hope that helps.
Laura
