Zena's morning walk with her new friends

Decided to let her off again this morning with all my friend's dogs on the green, and I guess you can say I have good recall already, if you look at the first pic I called her and she came flying!!! Bless her heart

She had a whale of a time zooming around following tess and sally, but sadly, she didn't have a ball of her own but she never pinched theirs, she just played with them, and when I called her I got this! I think she loves her mummy

Zooming around

Thanks for looking at my little star, coz she really is, this is only her 3rd time out!!

Well done! Glad you let her off...she looks like she is doing really well, is really happy and growing quickly!

At the risk of being shot down for stereotyping breeds.......it is particularly difficult to loose german shepherds usually.........they just love thier special people and have to be near them!

I just can't take my eyes off her ears! lol!!

I have been involved with dog training classes for 14 years and it is incredibly unsual to have a german shepherd puppy that can coap with pass the puppy. Some can't do it at all and panic as soon as they are away from their person, and the others can only usually manage moving a couple of people away from there person.........but they always keep their eye on their person and aren't so interested in the new people.

We have one lovely calm shepherd pup at the moment. He will go three seats away from his person...just about. He also only likes to sit on one side of the room in his usual seat............not that he has autistic tendancies or anything!

He is a real smasher too, very calm and interested in everything (as long as he is next to his owner) with fab ears, just like Zena's!

Awww thanks hades, can you imagine how exhilarated (sp?) I feel about all this, I bet you can actually!!!! She had an absolute ball with those collies, and norty me, I'd forgotten to put Georgie's collar on this morning but thank goodness he behaved himself too and didn't bother with what Zena was up to!

Thanks Eunice, I think she is too, she's quite incredible to me for such a young pup. The girl will go far methinks!

You have a fantastic insight into how these dogs usually are, they are definitely people dogs, especially to those they adore, you have to make them love you first to get the very best out of them. I remember once I left Cassie as a puppy with a friend of mine at her house whilst I went off somewhere, only for half an hour, and although she knew my friend very, very well, my friend said she sat at that front door crying her eyes out for the whole time, she didn't even want to play with her own puppy who she usually played non stop with! I want Zena to be the same with me as Cassie was, and I feel sure she will be, if not better! Thanks Catrin

great pics, it wont be long till she catches up to that collie either she is growing so fast. Completely agree with what Catrin has said, Zeita hates pass the lead and yells all along
