Here are the latest photos...he's going to have to take a break soon as he's been at it all day, bless him.

As I mentioned previously, the wood surrounding the doors will be painted chocolate brown, (actually it's called cocoa brown), so they will blend in better. We've had a look today at the cookers and hobs and are definately going for the stainless steel for both light and reflection..We've also seen some flooring that we like too

Thanks Lou

He's finished all the cupboards and drawers, we are really pleased with it but, as others suggested, it does look very dark in there now, well compared to what we were used to. We are not having the dark worktop now, we are going to have the block effect that encorporates all the different coloured woods in, and keep the edges the oak colour that they are now. The kick boards are going to be painted white, (they are dark brown at the moment), then the walls and floor will be cream. We've already ordered the stainless steel sink and we have someone coming tomorrow to see about the stainless steel oven and hob...it's all coming together and we're still excited about it.

Clive reckons we will have spent about £500 on it by the time we get the appliances and the flooring, plus it's taken him about 2 full days to do just the cabinets, still a real bargain though
