True. But honestly, if I saw Cain in trouble I'm not sure I could stand on the side and not go and help him Not sure i could bare to watch any dog or person in trouble. I KNOW it would be the most stupid thing to do but I just can't picture myself being able to stand by and watch him drown. Honestly don't know what I would do and hope to never be in that position.

Who says they will drown though? that is the point - how many times do we read of dogs managing to scramble out and owners who don't manage the same?

Unless it was a small dog that could be lifted out of the water, how would getting the water yourself help the situation? if I was in the water as well, I certainly wouldn't be able to lift my 35kg Lab or Slovak out.

I have compassion, I also have common sense, a brain, and foresight.

No doubt you have compassion for all those owners whose dogs are put down because their dogs bite other people?

They are blameless and it was "just an accident" nobody could have foreseen?

Its possible to acknowledge that something went wrong, that people got it wrong, to learn from their mistakes and to also show compassion, empathy and not appear to be on the world's tallest high horse all the bl**dy time.
