Christmas walkies at South Weald (pic heavy!)

We took the Gang to South Weald Coutry Park nr Brentwood today. As it`s the first big walk since my Daisy and my friend`s Sidi had their big fight, I muzzled Daisy. All went well though.
First daisy, Billy, Michael, Ruby & Sidi all thunder down to the lake - Douglas and Shamus are a blip in the distance by now

Ruby Schauzer doesn`t quite understand why people give ducks all that perfectly good bread

then we go into the woods where it`s slightly less cold

and Daisy does her Hippo impression

while Shamus is still a blip on the horizon...no, there he goes!

and Sidi (second from left) didn`t seem bother about Daisy (on right).

and this is Michael who ate the end of my finger, obviously relishing the memory

back at the lake we tried to get the dogs in to get the mud off but Daisy was the only one mad enough to brave the icy water

the others looked horrified at the prospect

so it was back to the van for hot soup and rolls with Douglas leading the way

South Weald has a cafe and Deer Pens, and acres of lovely walks. As you can see, it is usually empty!

Wonderful photos, Claire. What a fantastic place to walk.

So pleased no incidents from Daisy and Sidi - let's hope it was just a one-off x0x

Dogs rarely bear grudges! Whatever it was they were arguing about was over in that one argument... You never know when there might be another flare up, but we can't live in fear of it! Dogs 'live in the moment' to quote Cesar Milan.

Well done you for getting back on the horse, so to speak, and getting them all together again! After such a horrid experience it would have been easy to never let them mingle again, but then look at the wonderful friends and experiences you would have both missed out on.

Bravo.

Lovely pics and thanks for sharing. Looks like everyone enjoyed it. A greast place for walkies as you say almost deserted apart from your. Loved Daisy's Hippo impression.
