Agree for warmth. Poppy has a winter coat, a pink duffle coat, only because she was very young (8 months) when she was spayed and has never really grown an adult coat, her fur is very fine and soft like puppy fur, so she gets cold when out in the winter, also she is used to being inside with the central heating on in the winter, so to go out without a coat would be too cold for her.

At the moment boots would be a good idea to stop some of the mud ending up in the house!! I can see the point of clothes for warmth especially in small dogs but cant really imagine my bcs in fancy clothes. Apart from anything else they'd be wet and muddy within 5 mins of starting a walk even if the weather was dry! I would however use a coat for protection if the weather was very wet or cold and the dogs needed it.

Pharaoh has to have a coat for warmth and is currently sporting some rather natty looking socks to keep his poor itchy toesies safe from chewing... Selkie has a Santa suit which she used to wear to visit nurserys at Christmas but now just wears when collecting for charity.

Little Jackjack had barely any fur when I got him and looked just awful. I bought him a coat and a tshirt to cover his mange and shame, but people still crossed the street, so I bought him a superdog suit... That did the trick and people started treating him like a proper little dog, which helped socialise him... He also had a high vis jacket, and a couple of 'cute tshirts'... ... and a muzzle... he never got 'that' socialised

They all wear something for Halloween photos, but we just take the photo and they take it off

Max has a boring but practical black coat for heavy rain. He has worn a devil cloak for about five minutes at a halloween party but that's all!
