I ran out of wheatgerm caps a couple of weeks ago so i went to buy more from a health shop in town. I asked about the vit E and was told that it is actually a blood thinner and helps reduce clotting in the blood, she also said that it was a fat soluble vitamin and so accumalates in the body if you take to much, i told her that i,d been giving it to Holly before we mated her and she said that was fine but she would be warey of giving it throughout pregnancy. Human strengh vits like b or c are fine as they are water soluble so any excess just pass through, probably would be best using something like Dorwest herbs wheatgerm oil as they are a measured dose for dogs. I have stopped giving Holly the wheatgerm oil for now and am giving her vetzme tablets which are mainly b vits.
