Our local team Torquay United climbed back into the football league yesterday after 2 years in the conference.
Something my hubby always said they would never do.
He would say "never in my life time"
He got a text from our son last night to say " so glad you are still around to see it Dad"
It made me laugh but I also thought it was very touching.

Your hubby has had to eat his words then! And brill text message from your son!

I was pleased they went back up because it now means that whatever happens to my beloved Shrewsbury Town on Saturday in their play off final I will still have at least one game to go to when they play down here - either torquay in league 2 if we lose or Exeter in league one if we win!

Hope they win, if not I will meet you at Plainmoor

Thanks! I'll be honest and say I'm not relishing another trip to plainmoor unless it's massively improved since my last visit!
