Paper shredder

NO I'm not talking about an electric or manual shredder here....I'm talking about Georgie!!

I cannot leave any paper at all around the house. Magazines get shredded into a thousand bits. The yellow pages...well OMG that was into a million bits around the whole downstairs!

He does it when I'm at home and when I'm out. He doesnt not chew anything else in the house other than his wicker dog basket ( !!! ) He is 13wks old.

Any ideas of how to combat this one?
Have you ever had a ' paper shredder ' ?

All 3 of my labs were all paper shredders as pups, i am not sure how to combat it as they all seemed to grow out of it.

I wonder why they do it??? Its strange coz he doesnt chew anything in my house. Dont get me wrong, he's tried but ive told him NO from day 1. I just give him a toy or a bone if i caught him chewing and he no longer does it.....only to paper!

Glad to hear he may grow out of it.

Its a case of removing any papers out of reach, get somemore interesting toys to tempt him, i tend to save kongs for trips away they never get them any other time.

Everyone of ours has loved toilet rolls (as they do) and if we put ours so far out of reach we find its only the danes that can reach them

Good thought that, my mum said to give him toilet roll tubes to chew and rip. We do keep papers etc out of his reach, but there has been the odd occasion where something has been left and hes got hold of it. He has shredded my daughters homework too and he seems to crave that paper shredding instinct!!! Mad dog !

bruno loves to shred paper - but will only do it if you actually give the paper to him - I use him to dispose of junk mail - he is very effective !!

sometimes they just stay keen on paper shredding !!
