PS - it was part of the bedtime ritual for Kali and Snorri-dog too, together with the "Night-night biscuits". Thorgeir gets his dental stick as part of his goodnight!

I say goodnight and tell them to sleep tight and have sweet dreams and that I love them and will see them in the morning.
My 18yr old daughter says the same to her guinea pigs that live indoors too.

OMG I couldn't go to bed without kissing them goodnight, telling them mummy loves them, and how much I'm gonna miss them till the morning! Life wouldn't be the same if I couldn't do that
