Luxating Patella?

I'm starting to wonder if Rogue my JRT has LP. She loves chasing a ball but the last couple of times I've played ball with her I noticed afterwards she doesn't seem 'right' on her right hind leg. It's not as mobile when she runs, but she doesn't seem to have a definite 'skip'. It's not causing her any pain or discomfort, just altering her movement. I'm thinking maybe I shouldn't run her with a ball any more, which is a shame as she loves it.

They'll be able to tell by feeling and manipulating the leg and joint, simply by how easy it is to move the kneecap out of position.

They may recommend xrays to assess whether there are any further issues elsewhere in the joint / offending leg. If severe enough, surgery can also be an option.

Definitely recommend getting her checked, at least then you know for sure and can adjust her routine accordingly let us know how you get on.

they can tell by moving the leg and joint. i had to have it done with one of my pups after u gad a load of drama from the new owner (who was lying) they can suggest an xray to see about other damage or how severe it is, but they can usually tell from manipulating the joint.

Depending on how cooperative the dog is.

Lodger has "carried" his rear leg occ. if he's tweaked a muscle in the undergrowth. (not done it for ages now) He doesn't rest it, it doesn't get better. few days onlead sorted him last time.
