iphone help

Hello

I am getting my Dads iphone as he is getting an upgrade, I am currenbtly with Tmobile on a rolling sim only contract, and was wondering if I need to switch to O2 to use the iphone or whether you can get the phone unlocked and still continue with my tmobile.
If I do this will everything work on the iphone the same as if I was on o2?

thanks for any help.

also does anyone know if you can get a docking speaker thing for an iphone so I can use it as a player in my kitchen? or can you only do that with an ipod?

thankyou

Not sure about the network thing but I've got a fab Sony docking station for my iPhone that does the radio too and charges the phone. It cost about £60 but was worth every penny. It is also compatible with iPods.

I'll try to find a link to what it is later when I'm back on my laptop.

Your dad needs to find a form on the o2 site and fill it in, then o2 will unlock the phone, and allow you to continue to use the tmobile sim, you will lose the visual voice mail, and not sure how data and other charges work on that network.

You ned to check the docking station will work with the model of I phone you are getting......We have three docking systems in the house and all will work with the oldest model. two will play the newest one but not charge it.

I have an unlocked old i phone and can't use the newest version of i tunes with it and can't use all the new apps etc. I have no idea how it was unlocked as it was someones old one but it does me fine.

If it was new 6 months ago..its probably the new 3gs..I have that one...
O2 are the only ones that offer Iphone properly..
The rest are just parts of it...

Better going with O2 so you can have the full use of the phone the way its meant to be..

By that do you mean the IPhone does not work properly on other networks?

And what do you mean by "properly"? Just curious!
