It was a last resort I'd tried it fresh and frozen and cut up small to no avail and I don't like the smell of kidney it's a bit odd so the garlic was for my benefit to mask the smell. Still result was they not only scoffed it but looked for more, little b*ggers.

I`m trying liver tomorrow.
Do all dogs balk at unfamiliar foods?
mine prefers all raw offal to be frozen, or only part de-frosted if I want to be acurate Just how he prefers it. Defo likes liver to be frozen though!

my two wont touch pig offal either

kidneys did take a bit for them to eat raw, I had to cut it up little - but they do eat most types now

I think its the texture too - liver and kidneys is a totaly different texture

I cook my kidneys and liver slowly in the oven just covered in water. They come out lovely and tender and both Lily and Kyiro goes mad for them.

Oh yes !!!! Megan will, I have to watch her closely because she will also take the food off for burial, if it's unfamiliar.

Poppy will eat anything and Bruce well he has to have everything minced,

My two are fussy little gits. Ailsa is a bit more adventurous, but Jake eyes anything different up with the view that he is about to be poisoned and usually walks away in disgust. Having said that they both wolfed down some meat loaf my friend had given me this afternoon, I was a bit nervous about giving it to them as it had onions in but I didn't think there were that many to do them any harm. I haven't tried giving them offal yet.

Oscar is terrible with new foods, it takes him a few refusals before he realises it is actually edibile!

The only way he will eat offal is partially frozen, chopped up small and mixed with raw egg.
