Foodwise, you could try brands like James Wellbeloved or Burns as examples of grain-free, but for a full allergy elimination diet, it would be better to go with something like Wafcol Salmon and Potato as this usually eliminates the proteins the dog is currently eating.

I have recently had a problem with my dog as, despite treating regularly with Frontline, she got into quite a state and it turned out to be flea allergy. A change to Stronghold sorted her out. However, Stronghold does not work for ticks so if you live in an area where ticks about, maybe something like Advocate would be a better alternative

It's a nightmare to see them suffer and takes quite a bit of sorting out to get them right. I wish you luck in sorting out your lad xx

Thanks, I have often taken my dog for flea checks and thus far we have been flea free so I think what we are using is doing its job. I do think I need to change his food again though. It's great to have all your suggestions and experience thanks xx

Orijen is a dry food and a whole prey food. One of the best but it is quite pricey
