Camera recomendations

im after getting a new camera and dont no what to get

i want it for when i go to concerts and for general picture taking

the one i have now has an ok zoom on it but at full zoom the pictures are no good so i wanted one with a decent zoom on it
and not sure if you'll get what i mean here but the camera i have now when i press to take the picture it takes it a minute to take the picture so i only get good pictures of things that are still or i have to try and judge the speed and press it a few seconds before the picture i want and end up with blurry pictures (if that makes sense ) so i wanted one that would take the picture right away kind of thing if thats at all possible

any help or advice much appriciated

Whats your price range?

What size of camera would you like?

Would you like an SLR?

Whilst dslrs are probably the best for gigs etc, many won't be allowed in because they're deemed 'professional.' That's my experience anyway! Something to consider- but if you're looking at the two above, that won't be a problem anyway.
