Long Haired Dalmations

Saw a picture of a long haired dalmation today! I know the die hard dally fans will probably hate it, but I thought it was GORGEOUS!!

Many smooth-coated breeds produce an occasional long-coated dog. Dogs carrying a single copy of the long-coat gene would look like normal Dals, but if two of these dogs were bred together, approximately 25% of the offspring would have long coats.







What other breeds can you get long coated??

i adore dalmatians, and always thought i would have one! but talking to people who owned one they tell me they are the worst shedders ever! I wonder if the long coat would have the same problem....?
Does anyone else think it looks like a dalmatian coloured retriever!!!

A lot of breeds have a long coat somewhere in them...I have seen a long coated Rottie, and a long haired Bullmastiff too

It looks cute.

Yes, I have seen pics of a long-haried Rottie too and also a chocolate one which looked strange as we are not used to seeing them!

I've seen a long coated rottie before but I had no idea there were long haired dalmations! I think it's gorgeous
