Sleep Tight Eider - Highland Pony xxxx
We unfortunately had to have Eider, a 21 year old highland pony put to sleep on Tuesday.He hasn't been well for some time, but rapidly got worse over the weekend. We wanted him to go sooner, but the boss was hoping that he would get better.
He had a good life, a successful show pony in his younger years, then joined the trekking centre and taught hundreds to ride. Such a wonderful pony.
He will be missed by many many people.

Whilst I'm sad, I only knew him a year and he was retired for 6 months of it, it's the people that have been working for my boss in the house for the last 16/17 years that I feel for, they've known him for such a long time and took him to shows in-hand & ridden.
He truely was a very special pony, it's a shame he couldn't enjoy his retirement like the rest of the oldies, just chilling in the field. xx
