Good news.

Difficult call saying yay or nay re. the leaving them together, but I always err on the side of caution (as you know ).

I think maybe if you get say, 2 clear weeks with no problems, then you could be more relaxed about it just at night...

Sounds good though, glad for you that the Gingers are doing pretty well

Could you bring the crate into the bedroom at night so Bunnie still has her 'safe space' but you are in the same room?

I've had to do it with a few guys who had trouble settling at night. Lights out with the other dogs round them and not a peep

After a few weeks I let them sleep where ever they want. Which in Isaac's case was wrapped round my head So much for my 'no dogs in the bedroom' rule

Take care.

Glad they are starting to get along Vicki, it must be a huge relief. I think you always have to expect some ructions when a new dog is brought in, and I am sure they were just sorting out the pecking order.

If you are confident and feel happy to leave them to free roam at night, then I would say go for it. Flame detested Moss when I first brought him home, so much so that I really wondered what I had done initially. However after about 3-4 days she started to accept him and then after a week or so I left them together and they got on great. They ended up being the very best of friends

Unfortunately, there was a *cough* altercation this lunchtime, instigated by Bunnie, who even tried to restart it a couple of times..... norty girl.....

Ah well, it was a nice thought.....

Still... they do seem to be settling down a bit? Fingers crossed these altercations get fewer and farther between xx

Baz called me when he got home - there were no problems at all, and both dogs got a treat and some fuss without incident.

Fast forward to my entrance into the from door.....

Lennon came down from upstairs, and Bun went for him again.

I hadn't even acknowledged either of them.

Did I do something wrong?

Oh sorry they have had words again Vicki.

Definitely sounds like some sort of pecking order going on doesn't it ?

Do you think Bunnie is resource guarding you from Lennon ?

I can understand Len getting upset about it if she is after all you were his mum first. He didn't have these problems with Roxy or Mya did he ? He is probably finding it all a bit unsettling. I am sure with all the hard work you and Baz are putting in it will work out soon between them.

It happened to me again when I got home, but have had some great advice on how to diffuse the situation.

I'll update tomorrow afternoon on how it goes tomorrow lunchtime.

Will post again in the morning on the "Ginger" mood - here's hoping it's a good one!
