I have to agree with you Libs.

There are more and more soaps coming onto British TV than ever. What do we pay our TV license for It isn't even educational

Sorry katy... if I'm in the minority, then I'd rather that than the sad people who need to follow fictional peoples unrealistic lives.

it can be so i have to disagree. it lets people see a whole different world and learn about how real things affect peoples lives! i have learnt a lot from all the soaps. and there is also the comedy value on emmerdale and corrie! again a lot of people will agree with me as soaps are extremely popular and there is also the eye candy! soaps raise awarenss!!!!

Katy, what exactly DO people see? From what I've seem of this rubbish, everyone seems to spend thier time in Pubs, be it the Queen Vic, the Rovers and whatever the pubs name is in Emmerdale.

Oh katy please, there is nothing realistic about the people in soaps,
and they are certainly not educational.

Just more tosh to fill an already inadequate schedule with.

but the things that happen to these people can happen to anyone. I personally dont know anyone who is gay or transexual or has aids but have learnt the other side of these things and therefore am more sympathetic to these situations where as before i would of been more judgemental. soaps showall the ups and downs of normal peoples lives
