Glad to hear hes recovering well - they always seem to be able to bounce at the vets no matter how poorly they've been at home, don't they ?

Have you tried Thornit to ease his ears? It's natural and really mild; many "spaniel" people swear by it

Yes I have tried thornit but it didn't really seem to do anything for him, unless I didn't use it regularly enough. When he was castrated last October, they gave his ears a clean whilst he was still under anaestetic and when we went back for his check up they said they had found 'talc' in his ears and it was best not to put anything in them again so I haven't used it much since then. I suppose vets don't agree with it because it isn't a licensed product is it and only available from the internet.

They want to put him under anaestetic to give his ears a clean and pull the hairs out because there is no way he will let you do this at all. It took about 5 minutes before the vet could actually look in his ears last night, he struggles like crazy and its almost impossible to hold him in position.
