Leg of lamb

probably a stupid question but i got a leg of lamb out of the freezer yesterday morning put it out to defrost and forgot about it till this morning, so we are not going to eat it, i have put it in the fridge this morning, but wondered if we could give it raw to the dogs?

Instant sit, and attentive dogs!

How fussy, it would be fine cooked, but if you cannot bring yourself to eat it, the dogs would love it.

Second question can they have the bone?

Raw to the dogs it is then, we just didnt fancy it, my fault cos now we leave the dogs uncrated when we go out we were out and i had put the tempting joint in the microwave just in case unsupervised the temptation was too much, woke up at 4.30am remembered it but was too lazy to get up so left it then remembered again by 9.30am so didnt want to risk feeding it to us as it didnt feel cold when i touched it.

Thank you, This is where my lack of experience shows, i thought they couldnt have weight bearing bones, wouldnt normally be in the position of giving a blooming whole leg of lamb to the dogs so not a question i should have needed to ask!

Leg of lamb is a rare treat for my lot. Well, there is actually only Flynn who gets one cos they are too much for the collies.

Blimey that looks amazing, mine only benefitted by my forgetfulness!!!
Cant help loving the way they sat so nicely while the other one had some, although rolo was so excited he nearly took hubbys hand off! We gave them the bone broken in two for a little while and then binned it cos rolo had the small bit and made it bit too small for what we thought safe so took away from both of them.

For some time after they kept sniffing around cos they know there is more! love em!
