Lamb Leg and Foot !!!!

When out in the forest a few weeks back when we were in the lovely Scotland, Thunder went to the side and pulled something from the ground. It was a very fresh lamb leg with foot.....virtually all the meat had gone from it. I have no idea how it got there, but it wasn't very nice to look at and he felt hard done by that we didn't let him eat it!!!!

Almost certainly a fox.

Funniest thing my dogs ever done was when we were out on the moor.
My collie is a stick fanatic and my friend always indulges him. So we were walking along and he was bringing her sticks and she was throwing them for him. Ocassionally he'd get bored and then find a better stick and bring it. One time he brought a lamb leg!
Unfortunatly my friend wasn't paying attention and just reached down to take the proffered stick and only realised what it was when she was about to throw it!
It was very funny.
She always looks at the sticks now before taking them lol.

Read on another forum yesterday that this forum member was walking her horse's field and came across a lambs head with ear cut off, clean cuts apparently and the general consensus from more experienced people was that someone had killed a new lamb for a bit of milk lamb meat hence the cutting off of the ear to prevent ID and clean cut through the head. Horrible

Foxes also take lamb ears and tails as play things for their cubs.

We always seem to be coming across deer legs on our treks through woods and forests up here. The dogs don't seem to mind
