I would leave road walking untill s/he is older, I know labs as said can be prone to developing HD early on.
Great advise

Really for me its over and most definitely out.

As said before you all contradict each other.

Dragging was a tongue in cheek expression, he sniffs everything..lolsome got the joke others didnt.........
Why not say sniffing then. ven if he ISsniffing you should not be dragging him, use his name & call him to you , its not hard is it?

Rereading the posts i dont believe it was tongue in cheek, you are just always changing your story, poor pup

dont find Dog welfare & poor dog management a joke, no.

Does he walk to heel or do you have to pull him along when he stops?

Im probaley going to regret asking this, but what equipment is he wearing when you are pulling him ?

He walks to heel

he did wear a harness as suggested on here, but no longer needs one.......as the helpful people on here helped me. and he now enjoys his walk on the pavement.

Well you can laugh all you like Jols. However, we socalised our rescue pup by spending time in towns parks on a bench anything upto 10mins a day (on a bad day maybe 2-3mins), 3-4 times day. He had severe fear of vans and men when he came to us at 6+ months old.

He went on to become a very successful police dog.
