Dried liver treats.

I know it might seem a bit thick but how do you make dried liver treats. Do you fry or bake the liver first and then leave it in the oven for a certain amount of time.

I need lots of different training treats, I currently use natures menu chicken treats, pieces of cheese or cooked chicken but thought dried liver would be nice occasionally.

To make dried liver, I usually just put slices of liver (the thinner, the quicker the process should be) in the oven on a really low heat for a lot of hours until it's dry.

You can also do it in the microwave, but that's moreso cooking the liver rather than drying it.

Hi thanks yes I've not made liver cake but made liver biscuits, so could use bits of them, I just thought with dried liver I could cut it up into tiny bits.

Thanks jester jen will try that but would it not be quicker if I cooked or fried it first and then left it in the oven on a low heat

If you've got a slow cooker try that. I've not tried it with liver but I 've done it it with Heart. I boiled it first for a few minutes then cut it up in small bits. Put it in the slow cooker on low for a few hours.

I fry it, and then put it in a slow oven for a while... I don't really have a set time, I just leave it in until it looks right
